“ We are originally from Oklahoma and Texas where authentic Mexican food is normal. We were told that real Mexican food didn't exist here. It does now. Whether it's the authentic red sauce, the fabulous hot salsa, or the (off the menu) chillaquilles, if you don't want Midwest Mex, California Mex or Tex Mex, you will enjoy the food. ”
“ Good place for Mexican food. I had the burrito Guadalajara with chicken and it was huge. Definitely get your moneys worth. It was flavorful and I liked the tomato sauce on the outside. They start you with chips and salsa and the salsa has a bit of spice, but I still enjoyed it. We also got guacamole which was also good. Overall would recommend! ”
“ El Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant in Appleton has been here almost a year. By far my favorite Mexican restaurant around here. Family owned, the wife waits tables while her husband does all the cooking. Often times you’ll hear him singing from the kitchen. Sometimes you’ll see their daughter and son working as well. Everything is made fresh from the tortilla chips and guacamole, salsa, to the Fajitas, burritos, tacos and so much more. Plus they serve Birria and Quesabirria tacos which you can’t find around here very often. They run so daily specials as well. . They now serve Margaritas as well. Strawberry, Mango and regular, 20oz or 32oz. blended or on the rocks. Check out the menu for prices. Very reasonable. Stop in and support our local restaurants. ”

“ We love trying out New Mexican spots and this little place was so authentic when you walked in, the atmosphere was very lively and we were immediately greeted by the waitress who was from Honduras, my home country!!! She was so friendly and welcoming. I am a big critic when it comes to authentic horchata.. and let me tell you... THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST HOUSE HORCHATA, made with real ingredients not pre bought powder. Make sure you try it if you’re a fan of the drink. The house chips and salsa were YUMMY and fresh. The food here was extremely appetizing and full of flavor. I had the quesabirria and it was so good!!! My son had a chicken taco with rice and beans and it was also super good, the chicken was super flavorful. My boyfriend had the tacos de carne asada which he said were pretty tasty also. A MUST TRY!!! ”

“ Best Mexican food in Appleton. My boyfriend and I had guacamole to start which was absolutely phenomenal, and then each got the Burrito Guadalajara. Best burrito I’ve ever had, honestly. I can’t think of anything better. Authentic and came out hot and fresh. The server even had the kitchen make my boyfriend homemade extra spicy hot sauce and brought it out for us within minutes. Will definitely be back again! ”
